Hi, my name’s Bill and I’m a professional coach. Prior to starting Seaside Coaching I was a senior leader and business transformation coach at IBM, coaching internally and with clients to help employees, leaders and teams discover new ways of thinking about the work they do.

My ‘North Star’ is to be ambitious for whoever I’m coaching. I look at the direction they want to travel and help them discover what they want to achieve.

Powerful, open questions, and allowing space for personal reflection are essential elements of coaching, and in addition, successful coaches also have expertise and experience in their ‘industry’. The best coaching provides space for mentoring and teaching when required, which is when the coach goes deep on experience, knowledge and confidence. We’ve seen all the ups and downs of professional life and navigated them by deciding when to go with the flow or when to turn the tide.

We’ve also seen when it’s time to let go, move on to a new path, or leave work completely, due to retirement or redundancy, and we’ve coached and helped people make the right decisions.

Because we’ve made those decisions for ourselves too.
